The Perfect Shave
You’ve got a special event coming up and you want to make an impression.
Then suddenly, there they are…spots make an appearance at the worst possible time.

Somersets skincare regime helps prevent breakouts and we’ve even thrown in some extra tips to keep your skin healthy and glowing.
This may come as a surprise, but men’s skin is more delicate than women’s. It’s generally oilier, so more susceptible to spots and blemishes. This can be aggravated by regular shaving which destroys the hydrolipidic film that maintains the skin’s balance. Somersets Men’s Range is specially formulated with these differences in mind.
Get into the swing of a regular regime. It’s worth it in the long run.

  Grooming
1.Exfoliate. Unless you live in a pristine, pollutant-free idyll, (and if you do, please tell us where it is), dirt and grime are all around. Soap and water alone just don’t cut it. Somersets Pre-shave Face scrub with jojoba beads gently cleans away the stuff that builds up and blocks pores. Just once or twice a week will improve your complexion.

2Use Somersets Anti-bacterial Face Wash every day before you shave. Not only will it get your skin squeaky clean, but it’ll smooth the way for a really close shave.

3You don’t need us to tell you that shaving sensitises the skin so it’s important to use the right product for you. Somersets Extra Sensitive Shaving Oil or our friction-free Extra Sensitive Shaving Gel won’t irritate. And it’s best to avoid foam if you’re prone to skin problems.
4Moisturise. This is really important and not just because it leaves your skin supple. After shaving, you’re more vulnerable to sunburn so Somersets moisturiser contains sunscreens to protect against UVA and UVB rays.

5Eat right. You won’t have to cut out all the foods you really love. After all, we all want to enjoy life. It’s simply about getting the balance right. We all know about ‘five a day’ fruit & veg, and foods – good or bad – have a visible effect on our skin.

6Exercise. Our lives are more sedentary than at any time in history, and that not only means putting on weight. It also affects our mood and general wellbeing. As the largest organ of the body, our skin benefits as much as our muscle tone when we spend more time moving and less time on the sofa.
